Two Corinthians

Two Corinthians is a gaffe uttered by Donald Trump during a January 2016 speech given at Liberty University about the preservation of Christianity in the United States. During the speech, he said, “Two Corinthians 3:17, that’s the whole ballgame […] ‘Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.'” The bible verse which he labeled “two” Corinthians is typically called “Second Corinthians.” The gaffe was used online as a way to discredit his religious beliefs in 2016 and then resurfaced again in May 2020 following his trip to take photos in front of a church amid protests.
